The big hole photo is the pit dug out to make 
the combat operations center. 

I was on night duty down there one night when we got a message 
that there would be an Arc-light in our AO
 at a certain set of coordinates. 
When I decrypted the message the coordinates were our camp!
So we immediately got word to Da Nang to call off that Arc-light. 

I still have memories of patrolling through an area that had been Arc-lit, the bomb craters were huge, deep, and numerous.
